How USS Foundation is Empowering Rural Women
June 28, 2026 | USS Nursing Home
Women empowerment lies at the heart of USS (Uphar Seva Sadan) Foundation's community work. In villages around Parsa and Saran district, many women still lack access to skill training, healthcare awareness and financial independence.
Through our foundation programs, we run skill development workshops covering tailoring, handicrafts and small business basics, helping women build sustainable sources of income. We also conduct regular health and hygiene awareness sessions specifically designed for women.
Beyond skills, we focus on building confidence - encouraging women to participate in community decisions and take active roles in their families' well-being. Many participants have gone on to start small home-based businesses after completing our programs.
USS Foundation continues to expand these initiatives across more villages, believing that empowering women creates a ripple effect of positive change across entire communities.
